JOSEPH BLAIR PETRASH, CCM, CHA
Prior to forming Borders Golf
Group, Mr. Petrash was President of the Cordillera Group, which
owned and operated golf communities throughout the United States.
Petrash was appointed President of Cordillera
Club Properties, LLC in March 2005. In this position, Mr. Petrash
was responsible for the operation of four high-end golf developments,
located in Colorado and California.
Prior to this position,
Mr. Petrash was Executive Vice President for the Club at Cordillera
a 7,500 acre mountain community, located in the heart of the
rocky mountains of Colorado. In addition he has been responsible
for Catamount Ranch and Club, Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
In this position he was responsible for the operation of the
Clubs.
Since April of 2000, Petrash has been directly
responsible for pre-opening operations, system and policy implementation,
revenue management, member relations, membership marketing and
sales, food and beverage, golf operations and organizational
development.777 Petrash’s operating
belief is that “the Member and Guests always come first”.
This is applied in many ways throughout the Club operations,
especially in the service and hospitality areas. According to
Petrash, being available for the Members is what this business
is all about, and his goal is to have each Member forget the
outside world the minute they pass through the entrance gates.
This is always achieved while balancing the needs of the ownership
group.
Prior to joining the Cordillera Group, Petrash
was with Lakewood Country Club and Marin Country Club where he
held the position of Chief Operating Officer. In addition he
has previous experience in executive hotel and restaurant management.
Petrash earned a Bachelors of Arts degree
in hospitality Management from Florida International University
of Miami, Florida. Mr. Petrash is a Certified Club Manager (CCM)
and a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Mr. Petrash is also
President of the Colorado Golf Course Owners Association.
