Joe Petrash Bio PictureMR. JOSEPH BLAIR PETRASH, CCM, CHA

Prior to forming Borders Golf Group, Mr. Petrash was President of the Cordillera Group, which owned and operated golf communities throughout the United States.

Petrash was appointed President of Cordillera Club Properties, LLC in March 2005. In this position, Mr. Petrash was responsible for the operation of four high-end golf developments, located in Colorado and California.

Prior to this position, Mr. Petrash was Executive Vice President for the Club at Cordillera a 7,500 acre mountain community, located in the heart of the rocky mountains of Colorado. In addition he has been responsible for Catamount Ranch and Club, Located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In this position he was responsible for the operation of the Clubs.

Since April of 2000, Petrash has been directly responsible for pre-opening operations, system and policy implementation, revenue management, member relations, membership marketing and sales, food and beverage, golf operations and organizational development.777 Petrash’s operating belief is that “the Member and Guests always come first”. This is applied in many ways throughout the Club operations, especially in the service and hospitality areas. According to Petrash, being available for the Members is what this business is all about, and his goal is to have each Member forget the outside world the minute they pass through the entrance gates. This is always achieved while balancing the needs of the ownership group.

Prior to joining the Cordillera Group, Petrash was with Lakewood Country Club and Marin Country Club where he held the position of Chief Operating Officer. In addition he has previous experience in executive hotel and restaurant management.

Petrash earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in hospitality Management from Florida International University of Miami, Florida. Mr. Petrash is a Certified Club Manager (CCM) and a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA). Mr. Petrash is also President of the Colorado Golf Course Owners Association.


William Timken Jr.MR. WILLIAM RICHARD TIMKEN, JR. – PRINCIPAL

Bill Timken brings 20 years of successful sales experience from a career on Wall Street. The prestigious firms Mr. Timken worked for include Dean Witter, Everen Securities, and the U.S. equity division of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Over those 20 years, Mr. Timken Bill helped place dozens of Initial Public and Secondary Offerings with large and small Institutional Investors. Some of those clients included Wells Capital Management, Columbia Management, The Capital Group, AXA Rosenberg, and Franklin Templeton among many others.

Among Mr. Timken strengths are the day-to-day nurturing of customer relationships in addition to resolving client issues in a satisfactory way. Mr. Timken’s role is primarily in due diligence, sales and acquisitions of properties and management contracts along with working with financial institutions to obtain financing and development funds.

Mr. Timken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Hayward. He also currently holds Series 7 & 63 registration from the SEC.


Marty SuarezMARTY L. SUAREZ – DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES AND MARKETING

Marty Suarez is one of the most respected marketing professionals in the Vail Valley. With over a decade of experience developing and implementing successful marketing programs in the Valley, Suarez has a resume that exemplifies return on investment. Her understanding of the Vail market and buyer is unprecedented.

Prior to joining Borders Golf Group, Suarez held the positions of Marketing and Sales Director for Paramonte Private Residences at the Cordillera Lodge & Spa and Marketing Director for the Cordillera Metro District, the governing body of the four neighborhoods, three golf courses and nationally recognized, golf training facility in the Cordillera community.

While at Cordillera, she was challenged to cross sell the neighborhood real estate with the Club at Cordillera, the Cordillera Lodge & Spa, the community amenities and the Vail Valley lifestyle. Her marketing strategy resulted in a 49% increase in overall property sales in just one year. Club at Cordillera membership sales increased 33% with the complete sell out of memberships to the Cordillera Vail Club in less than 20 days. Custom home sales increased by 34% and the Lodge stays increased by 55%.

Prior to joining Cordillera, Suarez held the position of Marketing Director for Brightwater Club, an exclusive golf community on the western edge of the Vail Valley. At Brightwater she was integral in generating $30M+ in real estate sales, the complete sell out of the Founders program for pre-sales, and she supported developer management with marketing, advertising and sales reports.

Suarez has also held the positions of development manager for the Vail Valley Medical Center Foundation and senior marketing manager for Vail Resorts Management Company.

Suarez holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Advertising from the University of Georgia.


Jim PykeMR. JAMES PYKE – DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Jim Pyke is an experienced leader in Information Technology Management and Club Operations. He brings over 16 years of knowledge in resort business system management and supporting infrastructure for new developments. He gained a club operation perspective as Vice President of Information Technology for the Cordillera Group, a privately owned real estate developer of exclusive residential and golf resort communities in Colorado and California. Pyke has been intricately involved in the planning and implementation of club processes and functionality, new facility startups, utility infrastructure, and building wireless mesh technology for club properties. Pyke has also been directly involved in accounting system architecture and transaction flow where he has successfully integrated multiple systems allowing financial reporting for multiple entity relationships. Pyke has a strong understanding of operations and systems for food and beverage, golf shop retail, tee time scheduling, inventory control, asset management and property management. Pyke is President of Integrated Technology, a full service information technology-consulting group. He is currently consulting for golf course real estate developers throughout Colorado.

Pyke holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
